WOMBAT SMART

WOMBAT SMART sugar beet is a modern hybrid developed by SESVANDERHAVE — a global leader in sugar beet seed breeding. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and good sugar content, ensuring efficient sugar production. Due to selection, WOMBAT SMART exhibits adaptability to various climatic conditions, making it popular in different regions, including Ukraine. The hybrid is drought-tolerant, nematode-tolerant, and resistant to root rot pathogens, significantly enhancing its reliability and yield stability.

WOMBAT SMART is designed for use in modern cultivation technologies, such as the CONVISO SMART system, which includes the application of specialized herbicides and seed protection systems, such as INITIO PRO. These technologies enable effective weed and disease control, as well as prevention of lodging, contributing to clean seedbeds and improved crop quality. In farms using this system, high yields are achieved — for example, in one farm in the Rivne region, the yield reached 79 tons per hectare.

The hybrid belongs to medium-late harvest maturity and has a normal-yield type NE, allowing optimal planning of agronomic activities. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including zones 3, 6, and 9, confirming its versatility and adaptability.
