Technological architecture of the hybrid

Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of the NAAS, this simple hybrid is designed for yield stability under intensive farming conditions in Ukraine. The technical solution of this hybrid relies on the synergy between its high-oil genetic potential and adaptive defense mechanisms.

Biochemical profile and productivity

The key parameter of the "Klad" hybrid is its seed oil content, reaching 50–55%. The internal structure of the achene is optimized for high output during processing. The large seed size facilitates better germination energy, which is critical for achieving uniform crop density.

Phytosanitary resistance and herbicide protection

The hybrid is adapted for the "Euro-Lightning" production system, allowing agronomists to control weeds and major broomrape strains directly during the vegetation period. The genetic architecture of "Klad" is reinforced against a range of pathogens:

• Resistance to Phomopsis and Phoma, preventing stem lodging.
• High resistance to gray and white rot, as well as powdery mildew, reducing the need for fungicide applications.

With a vegetation period of 120–130 days, "Klad" is classified as a mid-ripening hybrid. This cycle duration enables the plant to efficiently utilize the accumulated sum of active temperatures to form a full-weight harvest, even under conditions of unstable moisture availability.
