Alcantara

Alcantara Sunflower is a mid-early linoleic hybrid developed by Syngenta specifically for extensive cultivation under dry climate conditions. It is characterized by high heat and drought tolerance, making it an optimal choice for the Southern Forest Steppe and Steppe regions, where water shortage and high temperatures are common. The hybrid features rapid early growth, which facilitates successful adaptation and high yield formation.

Alcantara has a high oil content, reaching 49–51%, ensuring significant oil yield with minimal resource expenditure. The hybrid’s yield varies between 19 to 39 centners per hectare when planted at the recommended density. Each seed batch carries a quality certificate, guaranteeing consistent and reliable planting material.

The hybrid demonstrates resistance to major diseases, including downy mildew and sclerotinia, reducing the risk of yield loss and minimizing the need for intensive chemical protection. Due to its genetic traits, Alcantara is well-adapted to extensive cultivation technologies with minimal mineral fertilizer application, which is especially important for regions with limited soil resources.
