Description
The ARIS hybrid sunflower is a mid-season, two-line crop with a vegetative period of approximately 120-128 days, ensuring stable maturation under various climatic conditions. Plants have medium height, green leaves, and yellow disc flowers. The 1000-seed mass varies from 46 to 51 grams depending on the growing region, indicating good seed material development. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Lower Volga, Middle Volga, and Ural regions, as well as in steppe zones with central and northern steppes.
ARIS exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, rust, false powdery mildew, and various races of downy mildew (A-G). It shows moderate susceptibility to white mold and is lightly affected by gray and dry rot. Thanks to the A.I.R. cultivation technology, the hybrid allows the use of herbicides based on imazamox, imazapir, or tribenuron-methyl, which effectively controls weeds and improves plant growth conditions.
The ARIS hybrid is characterized by good drought and heat tolerance, high initial growth energy, and good pollen shedding, ensuring stable yield and high oil content even under water-deficient conditions. The average yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 26.1 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 33.3 centners per hectare, and oil content in seeds of 48-51%, making this hybrid attractive for high-quality oil production. The recommended planting density at harvest is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, optimizing land use and maximizing productivity.
