ARLIN

ARLIN — is a medium-maturing, two-line sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) hybrid, intended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga regions. The plant is characterized by high stature (about 196 cm), absence of branching, and late flowering. Leaves are green with no or very slight rugosity, and the ray flower is bright yellow. Seeds exhibit strongly expressed marginal stripes and 1000-seed mass ranging from 46.2–55 g depending on the region. The vegetative period is approximately 110–119 days. The ARLIN hybrid is distinguished by high productivity and oil content, reaching an average of 47–49%. Seed yield varies by region: in the Central Chernozem region, average yield is 25.3 centners/ha with a maximum of 36.5 centners/ha; in the North Caucasus — 22.2 centners/ha (maximum 34.2 centners/ha); and in the Lower Volga — 17.6 centners/ha (maximum 27.4 centners/ha). Oil content in seeds ensures oil harvest of up to 11.6 centners/ha in the Central Chernozem region and up to 11.2 centners/ha in the North Caucasus. High oil content and stable yield make this hybrid attractive for industrial cultivation. ARLIN exhibits increased resistance to stress conditions and lodging, contributing to stable growth and yield. The hybrid is resistant to downy mildew (A-E race), false powdery mildew (710, 730), and phomopsis. However, it is susceptible to white mold, but in field conditions, it shows low infection rates to gray and dry rot, downy mildew, and rust. Recommended for cultivation in regions such as the Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions.
