Sunflower Bolgrad is an important agricultural crop with a strong root system and a stem reaching up to 170 cm in height. This hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group, with a vegetation period of approximately 105-108 days. Its head is convex and downward-facing, with a diameter of 22-24 cm. Sunflower seeds contain a high oil content — 50-51%, predominantly linoleic, making the crop in demand in both food and paint industries. Additionally, sunflower is widely used as animal feed. The Bolgrad hybrid exhibits high resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl (750 g/kg), providing effective weed control after emergence. It also displays high tolerance to various diseases and stress factors: drought, lodging, mildew, frogepsis, and sclerotinia, as confirmed by ratings of 8-9 out of 10. Due to these qualities, this hybrid is recommended for cultivation in all climatic zones, especially arid regions, making it a reliable choice for farmers. To achieve maximum yield, which can reach 54 centners per hectare, optimal planting density is advised: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 60-65 thousand under adequate moisture.
