The genetic strategy of Bollil is based on a multi-level pathogen protection system. Key stability factors include:

• Phytopathological shield: Genetically determined resistance to a complex of downy mildew races eliminates the need for early fungicide applications. The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance against phomopsis, various types of rots, and powdery mildew, which is critical for preserving leaf surface area during key development phases.
• Plant architecture: A stem height of 170–180 cm ensures an optimal balance between vegetative biomass and photosynthetic efficiency. The convex shape of the sunflower head facilitates rapid water drainage after precipitation, minimizing the risk of seed rot during the final ripening stages.

Production specifications

Bollil belongs to the mid-early maturity segment with a vegetation period of 100–110 days. This allows for flexible integration into crop rotations, ensuring timely harvesting and land preparation for winter crops. The black, narrow-ovate seeds are characterized by high uniformity, simplifying harvester settings and seed calibration.
