Practical experience with "Tsefei"

When planning the sowing season, the hybrid's resistance to stress and herbicides is a top priority. My personal experience with this sunflower has shown that under high weed pressure, the "Euro-Lightning" technology works perfectly. Field characteristics and harvesting

Regarding vegetation: a height of 150-160 cm is the "golden mean." With this stalk height, the combine harvester passes easily, losses at the header are minimal, and the plant does not lodge even in strong winds. The flattened, medium-sized head, slightly convex on the seed side, ripens well even in cooler summers. Most importantly, I noted as a farmer that it provides a consistently high oil content. The 50-55% rate allows for a good bonus when delivering the crop to the elevator.

Protection and agronomy

Diseases are any farmer's headache. In this regard, "Tsefei" behaves predictably. Throughout the season, I observed almost no outbreaks of phomopsis or rot. Resistance to downy mildew, white rot, and gray rot saves significant funds on fungicides. Even in high-humidity conditions, when neighboring fields started to suffer from powdery mildew, this hybrid remained clean. These are not just catalog numbers, but real cost reductions per hectare.
