Description
Sunflower Commandor 777 is an intensive, simple hybrid designed for both conventional and intensive cultivation methods. It has a medium maturity period with a vegetative duration of 111–115 days and plant height ranging from 170 to 180 cm. The flower head diameter is 18–20 cm, and the 1000-seed weight varies between 55–65 grams. This hybrid is distinguished by its high oil content in seeds — 51–53% — ensuring an oil yield of up to 53% and a potential yield of 50–52 centners per hectare.
One of the key features of Commandor 777 is its high resistance to adverse factors. The hybrid has drought resistance rated at 8 points, enabling it to produce high-quality yields even under insufficient moisture conditions. Additionally, it exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as to major sunflower diseases: fusarium, phomopsis, false powdery mildew, gray and white rot, each rated at 7 points on the resistance scale. Special attention is given to resistance against downy mildew — the hybrid is resistant to seven races (A–G), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.
Commandor 777 is suitable for cultivation on soils treated with soil-applied herbicides, which simplifies agronomic operations and enhances production efficiency. Thanks to its combination of high yield, oil content, and resistance to stress factors, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
