The genetic profile of this sunflower is adapted for the Clearfield system (Euro-Lightning), addressing weed and broomrape control directly in the field.

Morpho-biological features

The plant, reaching a height of 160–170 cm, forms a robust habit while maintaining high lodging resistance. Special attention is paid to the head architecture: its large, flattened shape ensures optimal ventilation and uniform seed ripening. The seeds themselves are characterized by an elongated, narrow-ovoid shape, black color, and medium size, which serves as a standard for efficient threshing using combines with basic header settings.

Phytosanitary resistance

The engineering approach of May-Agro has allowed for the integration of comprehensive protection against the most destructive pathogens into the "Konfeta SL" hybrid. Resistance to downy mildew (peronospora), phomopsis, and phoma reduces the need for preventive fungicide treatments, thereby cutting direct costs per hectare. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this hybrid is an excellent tool for regions with short summers or when double-cropping is required, allowing for harvest to be completed before the onset of critical weather risks.
