Plants reach a height of 160-175 cm, and the 1000-seed weight is 52-58 g. The flower head diameter varies from 17 to 19 cm, which contributes to efficient yield formation.
The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, phomopsis, phomosis, gray and white mold, as well as various races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). The drought resistance of CROS is rated at level 8, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Recommended growing zones include Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine, where the optimal plant density ranges from 50,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare depending on the region.
The optimal sowing period is in May, with the latest sowing date being up to June 10. Harvesting can be performed without desiccation, simplifying agronomic operations. Due to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, drought tolerance, and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, the CROS hybrid is a reliable choice for efficient sunflower production.
