Description
The hybrid sunflower DUNCAN CLP is a mid-late, moderately intensive variety with Clearfield® Plus technology, providing effective weed control. This high-oleic hybrid is resistant to karnal (expanded spectrum A-G), significantly enhancing its reliability during cultivation. Plants reach high stature, with a vegetative period of approximately 135 days and late flowering. The 1000-seed mass is 55.1 grams, and oil content in seeds reaches 51.6%, making it attractive for producing high-quality oil.
DUNCAN CLP is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus, Middle and Lower Volga, and the Ural region, including the Republic of Bashkortostan and Orenburg Oblast. The hybrid adapts well to various soil-climatic conditions, as evidenced by a stable average seed yield of 20.6 centners per hectare. Conventional tillage, as well as minimum and No-Till methods, are suitable for soil preparation, enabling efficient use of the hybrid in modern agronomic systems.
Special attention is given to the high disease resistance of DUNCAN CLP, including false powdery mildew, Phomopsis, Phomoz, and white mold of heads and stems. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates strong growth energy in early vegetation stages and provides good head pollination without signs of stress. All these characteristics make DUNCAN CLP a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields with high oil content and resistance to biotic stresses.
