Description
The sunflower ES PETUNIA is a mid-early simple hybrid for oil production, distinguished by high yield and stable productivity. The plants reach an average height of about 170 cm, have a well-developed root system and foliage, which contributes to their resistance to adverse conditions. The head diameter is approximately 23 cm, and the mass of 1000 seeds is about 63 grams. The seeds contain 50% oil, making this hybrid attractive for the production of oil products.
The ES PETUNIA hybrid exhibits high resistance to a number of common sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, Phoma, Phomopsis, black stem, Verticillium, sclerotinia of the head and stem, as well as tolerance to various races of the volunteer sunflower parasite (A-F, with tolerance to G). In addition, the plant demonstrates good resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering, ensuring a stable yield even under complex climatic conditions.
Recommended growing zones for the ES PETUNIA hybrid include Northern Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie. Depending on the level of moisture, different seeding densities are recommended: 50,000 to 55,000 plants per hectare with insufficient moisture and 60,000 to 65,000 with sufficient moisture. The period from emergence to flowering is about 69 days, and to harvest is 109 days. Seeds are sold in bags of 150,000 pieces, which is convenient for large-scale agricultural production.
