Developed by selectors Anton Posunko, Oleh Bushulian, and Dmytro Shatsman, the «ES Bravus» hybrid from the «Evrosem» company represents an adaptive sunflower variety engineered for intensive cultivation in Ukraine. The core of this hybrid lies in the balance between stable oil content (45-50%) and high phytosanitary security of the crops.

Phytopathological Shield and Genetic Resistance

The key advantage of «ES Bravus» is its comprehensive resistance to major pathogens that limit yield. Its genetic architecture provides a robust barrier against a wide spectrum of threats:

• Leaf and Stem Pathogens: reliable protection against Alternaria, Mycosphaerella leaf spot, Phomopsis, Phoma, and brown spot.
• Systemic Defense: a high level of resistance to rust and downy mildew (including strains affecting corn and sorghum).
• Rot Mitigation: minimizing the risks of white and gray rot, which is crucial for harvest safety during humid ripening seasons.

Agronomic Advantages and Production Control

«ES Bravus» is a simple hybrid with a growing period of 100-110 days, allowing farmers to optimize harvest logistics. Reaching a height of 180-190 cm, the plants demonstrate uniform growth and excellent adaptability to intensive protection protocols.

A critical feature for modern farming is its tolerance to imidazolinone herbicides («EURO-LIGHTNING» system). The ability to treat crops in early growth stages ensures effective control over the most persistent weeds and broomrape species without phytotoxic stress.
