Hysun 162 IT

Hysun 162 IT — a high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed under the Clearfield (IMI) technology by the renowned breeding company ADVANTA SEEDS and introduced to the Ukrainian market by Alta Seeds. The hybrid exhibits an intensive type of adaptability, ensuring successful cultivation across various climatic zones of the country. The vegetation period is 107–115 days, and plant height reaches 155–165 cm, promoting uniform growth and ease of harvest.

One of the key features of Hysun 162 IT is its high resistance to IMI herbicides and tolerance to sunflower菟丝子 (races A–G), significantly reducing yield losses from weeds and parasitic plants. The hybrid also shows resistance to major diseases such as white mold, Phomopsis, and gray mold, enhancing yield reliability and stability. According to data from the Experimental Station of the Institute of Steppe Agriculture of NAAN, Ukraine, the hybrid ranks among the top performers in yield among global analogs.

Hysun 162 IT is characterized by high oil content in seeds — over 52% — making it profitable for producing high-quality sunflower oil. Seeds are black in color and quickly lose moisture, facilitating drying and storage. The hybrid responds well to microelement and fertilizer application, allowing optimized agronomy and increased yield up to 51 ц/ha. Due to its flexibility and adaptability, Hysun 162 IT is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high yield performance.
