Description
The IMMI hybrid sunflower is a medium-early domestic variety with a vegetation period of about 90-94 days. It belongs to simple interlinear hybrids and reaches plant height of 170 to 190 cm. The flower head is convex and medium-sized, which contributes to efficient yield formation. IMMI has high ecological plasticity and an intensive growth type, making it adaptable to various climatic conditions and soils.
One of the key features of the hybrid is its resistance to imidazolinone herbicides, implemented via Clearfield technology, which allows effective weed control and increases the economic efficiency of cultivation. IMMI also demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including phomopsis, alternaria, false powdery mildew, stalk rot, gray and white rot, as well as rust and downy mildew. These qualities ensure stable yields and reduce losses from phytopathogens.
The hybrid is characterized by high oil content in seeds — about 50% — making it attractive for oil production. The recommended plant density varies depending on moisture conditions: from 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in dry zones to 60-65 thousand in well-watered zones. The hybrid’s yield reaches 35-42 centners per hectare in various regions, including Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions.
