Carat sunflower hybrid is a high-yielding, simple hybrid with genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases and stress factors. It exhibits high adaptability to various soil types and climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in different regions. Carat has a medium-early maturity period with a vegetation period of 108-110 days and plant height of 180-190 cm. The sunflower head is convex, semi-tilted downward, with a diameter of 22-24 cm, which contributes to efficient yield formation.

The hybrid is resistant to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, such as Granstar and its analogs, facilitating weed control and enhancing the effectiveness of agronomic practices. Carat demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including black stem, peronosporosis, fomopsis, rust, gray and white mold, as well as to downy mildew (6 races A-F) and sunflower moth. Additionally, the hybrid has high drought and winter hardiness, ensuring stable yields under adverse weather conditions.

The potential yield of the Carat hybrid reaches 51 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds of 50-52% and impurity level of 20-21%. These characteristics make it attractive for producing high-quality oil. The recommended planting density at harvest time is 55-65 thousand plants per hectare, depending on the region (forest-steppe or steppe).
