LG 5555 CLP

LG 5555 CLP is a medium-early sunflower hybrid developed by Limagrain using Clearfield Plus technology, which ensures high efficiency in weed control when applying the herbicide Euro-Lightning Plus. The hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and is adapted to various climatic conditions, including arid regions of southern and south-eastern Ukraine, as well as steppe and forest-steppe zones. Thanks to its short vegetation period, it consistently delivers high yield and oil content results.

LG 5555 CLP exhibits resistance to seven races of sunflower rust (downy mildew) from A to G, as well as to new races of downy mildew, which significantly reduces the risk of crop losses. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates excellent tolerance to major sunflower diseases, such as Phoma black stem, grey mold, and white mold. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for intensive cultivation in various agro-climatic conditions.

The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 4–4.5 tons per hectare under favorable conditions, while the oil content in the seeds is up to 48–50%, ensuring high economic efficiency of cultivation. LG 5555 CLP is recommended for zones with sufficient and insufficient moisture, which expands its application possibilities and allows for stable and high yields even under complex conditions.
