Sunflower LG50779 SX is a mid-late hybrid with a medium-height plant type, reaching an average height of about 170 cm. The head diameter is approximately 17 cm, and the average 1000-seed weight is 65 g. This hybrid is developed using Express™ technology, which implies resistance to the herbicide Granstar (Express™), facilitating weed control and promoting effective crop cultivation.

One of the key advantages of LG50779 SX is its high resistance to Striga A-G, significantly reducing the risk of damage from this pest. The hybrid belongs to the high-oleic direction, ensuring stable and high oleic acid content, as well as high oil content in seeds. Thanks to these qualities, the sunflower is suitable for producing high-quality oil. Moreover, the plant demonstrates good tolerance to major diseases such as Phomopsis, root and head gray mold, charcoal and dry rot, as well as Phomoz, enhancing yield stability.

LG50779 SX exhibits adaptability to growing conditions, showing high drought tolerance and resistance to stress factors, including cold tolerance and lodging resistance. For maximum yield potential, it is recommended to follow intensive cultivation technology on fertile soils and optimal sowing dates. The recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture: up to 55,000 plants per hectare in well-watered zones and 45–50,000 per hectare in dry conditions. For weed control, use Express 75 WG herbicide at a rate of up to 50 g/ha with the addition of Trend 90 surfactant.
