MAS 98K

Sunflower MAS 98K is a mid-late maturing hybrid with a vegetation period of approximately 115-120 days, developed for producers focused on high productivity. This linoleic hybrid features innovative genetics ensuring high yield potential and stability under various stress conditions. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing on areas ranging from 2.2 to 2.5 hectares, with recommended planting rates of 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under water stress and 60-65 thousand under optimal moisture. Plants are tall, with convex and inclined heads, facilitating efficient growth and harvest.

MAS 98K has an excellent phytosanitary profile due to its high genetic tolerance to major sunflower diseases. The hybrid is resistant to race A-E of downy mildew, as well as to diseases such as false powdery mildew (RM9), frogeye leaf spot, verticillium wilt, head and stem sclerotinia, and rust. These traits provide reliable plant protection and contribute to stable yields even under adverse conditions. Moreover, the hybrid demonstrates good agronomic performance, including early growth rates, lodging resistance, and drought tolerance.

Oil content in MAS 98K seeds ranges from 50 to 54%, making it attractive for producing high-quality sunflower oil. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe. Cultivation technology is conventional, and seeds are treated with AGROSTART and PONCHO D150, further enhancing their resistance and viability.
