Description
Nikosi sunflower is a classic hybrid specifically adapted for cultivation in Ukraine. It features high resistance to various climatic and biotic factors, ensuring a stable and high yield. This hybrid is suitable for sowing on agricultural fields, demonstrating excellent adaptability to local conditions.
The Nikosi hybrid has a medium-late maturity period and is characterized by high oil content, reaching 53%. Plants grow to a height of 160-170 cm, have a flat flower head with a diameter of 21-23 cm and downward tilt. The vegetation period lasts approximately 105-110 days, and the period from emergence to flowering is about 50 days. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging, drought, shattering, as well as to a range of diseases, including fusarium, fusariosis, rust, false powdery mildew, gray and white mold, and pests such as sunflower moth.
Recommended planting density varies by region: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare for forest-steppe areas, and 50-55 thousand plants per hectare for steppe areas. Due to its adaptability and resilience to stressful conditions, the Nikosi hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
