Description
Sunflower NS H 4918 is a mid-season simple hybrid of Serbian selection developed by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The vegetation period is 108-113 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions, including forest-steppe and steppe zones. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, exceeding 45 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 50 percent.
One of the key features of NS H 4918 is its resistance to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, phomosis, gray mold, septoria, black mold, and sunflower rust. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance, resistance to temperature fluctuations, and deficiency of mineral elements, ensuring stable yields under adverse weather conditions. The plants have a strong root system and high resistance to lodging, which contributes to maintaining the quality and quantity of the harvest.
The NS H 4918 hybrid also demonstrates resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, enabling effective use of the Express (under Granstar) and "Sumo" technologies for weed control. The seeds are black, which is a typical characteristic of this hybrid. Serbian selection products meet international quality and safety standards, making NS H 4918 a popular choice for agricultural production, especially in Ukraine.
