Description
Sunflower NS H 7898 is a medium-early simple hybrid developed using CLEARFIELD® technology, providing effective control of all existing ragweed species. The vegetation period is approximately 105-109 days, allowing the hybrid to grow successfully in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm, have good leafiness and a strong root system, contributing to high resistance to adverse conditions and diseases.
The hybrid demonstrates high yield, reaching 40-55 centners/ha, with oil content in seeds at 46-48%. The sunflower head is thin and convex, with a diameter of 19-22 cm, black seeds, elongated, with a 1000-seed weight of 75 g and a huskiness of 23-25%. The recommended planting density is 50-55 thousand/ha for steppe and 55-60 thousand/ha for forest-steppe, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity.
NS H 7898 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, fusarium, septoria, as well as to sunflower moth and ragweed (strains A-G+). Thanks to these qualities and seed fungicide treatment, the hybrid ensures a stable and high yield, making it an attractive choice for farmers aiming for efficient and reliable oilseed crop production.
