OLIBIRD

OLIBIRD — ultra-early sunflower hybrid with high yield and resistance to various stress factors. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm, and the vegetation period ranges from 90 to 110 days depending on growing conditions. The hybrid features high oil content, ranging from 47% to 52%, ensuring high oil production efficiency. Seeds are black in color and have standard fraction, which facilitates sowing and processing.

The OLIBIRD hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, gray and white rot, as well as to four races of downy mildew. It is also resistant to lodging and has high drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including arid regions of Ukraine and Serbia. Recommended planting density varies by zone: in steppe regions — 40-55 thousand plants per hectare, in forest-steppe — 45-60 thousand, and in forest zones — up to 55-60 thousand plants per hectare.

Morphologically, the hybrid has a convex flower head with a diameter of 22-25 cm and a semi-directed inclination. The seed shattering rate is 21-22%, facilitating seed cleaning. The potential yield reaches 4.1-5.0 t/ha, confirmed by trials since 2017. High winter hardiness and resistance to pests, such as sunflower moth, make OLIBIRD a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality sunflower yields.
