Pioneer Sunflower P64LE19 is a spring hybrid of American selection, intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and northern steppe zones. This mid-season variety has a maturity period of about 120 days and is recommended for sowing in April and May at a rate of 45-50 thousand seeds per hectare. The plant features high growth vigor and a flexible stem, which ensures resistance to lodging and contributes to yield retention.
Hybrid P64LE19 exhibits high resistance to economically significant diseases, including new races of false powdery mildew, thereby reducing the need for fungicides. Additionally, the variety is tolerant to herbicide treatments with Express (Granstar PRO) and Salsa when used with the adhesion agent Trend. Sunflower tolerates droughty conditions and various meteorological factors, making it adaptable to challenging climatic conditions.
A distinctive feature of this variety is its high oil content, due to proper selection, as well as its unusual convex, drooping basket, which securely holds seeds until full maturity. Thanks to these qualities, P64LE19 is widely used in sunflower oil production, ensuring a stable and high yield with high oil content.
