As a simple hybrid, it offers reliable performance in Ukrainian climate conditions, meeting the expectations of intensive farming operations.

Phytosanitary Defense System

The core advantage of 'Pohliad' lies in its genetic resistance profile, which targets the most yield-limiting factors in sunflower production:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance, critical for regions with high moisture levels.
• Phomopsis: Strong genetic defense effectively lowers the risk of stem necrosis and lodging.
• Sunflower Broomrape (Orobanche cumana): Resistance to major races of this parasitic weed allows for successful cultivation in high-infection fields.

Morphological and Quality Metrics

The plant exhibits a balanced architecture with a height of 140–150 cm, allowing for easy inter-row cultivation. The large, convex head ensures uniform seed maturation and simplified harvesting. While the seeds are characterized as small, they achieve an impressive oil content of 50–55%, making this hybrid highly attractive for oil processing plants. With a 100–110 day vegetation period, it fits perfectly into standard crop rotation schemes, ensuring early field clearance for subsequent winter crops.
