Description
SUZUKA sunflower is a mid-early linoleic hybrid developed by Syngenta and adapted to HTS technology. It features high plasticity and drought resistance, enabling stable and high yields even in challenging soil-climate conditions typical of steppe and forest-steppe regions of Ukraine. The period from emergence to maturity is 108-112 days, ensuring timely harvest.
SUZUKA plants reach a height of 160-170 cm and possess a strong root system that efficiently supplies water, enhancing drought resistance. The sunflower head has a medium diameter of about 20 cm, with black seeds containing 49-50% oil. High leafiness and excellent head formation contribute to optimal resource utilization and increased yield potential, which can reach 50 ц/га, while in real conditions it amounts to 40-45 ц/га.
SUZUKA seed material is treated with a fungicidal seed treatment, providing protection against a broad spectrum of fungal diseases, and additionally with the insecticide Cruiser for protection against pests. The hybrid is resistant to downy mildew (A–F) and high-temperature stress, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones. Seeds are packed in paper bags, one planting unit containing 150,000 seeds, convenient for sowing and ensuring high-quality planting material.
