Terra

Terra sunflower is an early-maturing hybrid of oilseed type with a maturation period of about 105 days. This hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to various climatic conditions, allowing successful cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Plants reach an average height of about 170 cm, have a sturdy stem of medium thickness, and a robust root system, providing resistance to drought and high cold tolerance.

The Terra hybrid has high yield potential, reaching 55-59 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — around 52%. Seeds are black in color and weigh approximately 65 grams per 1000 seeds. Terra exhibits genetic resistance to five races of parasitic weed — downy mildew (A, B, C, D, and E), as well as high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, phomosis, and peronosporosis, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss.

Special attention is given to seed protection: seeds are treated with fungicides and insecticides, ensuring reliable protection against fungal diseases and pests. The hybrid is resistant to lodging, which helps maintain the quality of the harvest. The recommended planting density should not exceed 65,000 plants per hectare, optimizing plant development and productivity. Due to its characteristics, Terra is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high sunflower yield in various agroclimatic zones.
