Valencia

Sunflower Valencia is a simple mid-season hybrid of Ukrainian selection, intended for classical cultivation technology in steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. The vegetation period is 107-110 days, and plant height reaches 150-170 cm. The hybrid is characterized by high yield potential up to 5.0 t/ha (50 c/ha) and high oil content in seeds — 52-54%, making it attractive for oilseed producers.

One of the key features of Valencia is its high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. The hybrid demonstrates excellent drought tolerance, which is especially important for regions with unstable moisture. Moreover, it has high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as genetic resistance to false powdery mildew of all races. Valencia is also tolerant to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, phomosis, sclerotinia, downy mildew, binucleate rot, and rust.

Special attention has been paid to the hybrid's resistance to parasitic weeds, particularly to ragweed (A-G races), which broadens its cultivation possibilities on infested soils. Thanks to the combination of high yield, oil content, and resistance to diseases and adverse conditions, sunflower Valencia is a reliable choice for farms aiming for stable and high-quality oil production.
