Zaporizhsky 14

Zaporizhsky 14 is a high-yielding, mid-season sunflower variety of Ukrainian selection, primarily intended for cultivation in the steppe zone of Ukraine. It is characterized by large seeds with moderate oil content, making it especially valuable for the confectionery industry and food use. The maturity period is approximately 120 days, allowing for a stable harvest even under adverse climatic conditions.

Plants reach a height of 180 to 210 cm, and the flower head diameter varies within 20-25 cm. The flower head has a flat or slightly convex shape and does not shed during storage, facilitating harvest. The 1000-seed mass ranges from 110 to 125 g, oil content is at 40-44%, and impurity level is 28-32%. The recommended planting density does not exceed 33,000 plants per hectare, promoting optimal growth and high yields reaching 4.7 t/ha.
