The ZEPPELIN hybrid sunflower is a mid-early or mid-maturing variety of Helianthus annuus L., recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volgograd, Belgorod, and Tambov regions. The vegetative period ranges from 114 to 119 days, ensuring timely crop maturity. Plants are characterized by high stature and green leaf color, with no branching and medium leaf pubescence. The flowers are yellow, tubular, typical for this hybrid. The 1000-seed mass varies from 54.6 to 59.7 grams, indicating large seed size. Seed color features marginal and intermarginal stripes, which may be weakly or strongly expressed depending on the growing region. Resistance to rust is moderate, allowing the hybrid to maintain plant health under adverse conditions. Oil content in the seeds reaches 44.5%, making ZEPPELIN attractive for oil production. The hybrid's yield is highly productive: in the Lower Volga region, average yield is 21.2 centners/ha with a maximum of 36.9 centners/ha, while in the Central Chernozem region, yields are higher — average yield reaches 34.4 centners/ha, maximum — 46.5 centners/ha.
