GAL

Teresken variety GAL is an upright shrub growing 70 to 90 cm tall with dense and vigorous branching, developed by the Pre-Caspian Agrarian Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The leaves are long and wide, elliptical or oval in shape, hairy underneath, and green in color. The shrub is characterized by high yield: protein content of 18–19%, fiber content of 33.6–37.8%, and abundant carbohydrate content.

Variety GAL contains no anti-nutritional substances (glycosides, essential oils), making it safe for livestock feeding. It is recommended for establishing summer and autumn-winter pastures on light chestnut and brown soils in dry steppe and semidesert zones. Thanks to its resistance to various climatic conditions, Teresken GAL is successfully cultivated across a wide range of regions: from northern to southern, from central to Siberian territories.
