Description
The Cetris variety of vegetable pea is a mid-early to mid-late maturing plant, 65-75 cm tall, forming 2-3 pods per leaf axil, each about 7 cm long with a rounded tip. Each pod contains 6-8 small, uniformly sized seeds with a dark green color and excellent taste. The seeds of this variety have high germination rates and germinate at temperatures from +1°C to +6°C, with an optimal germination temperature around +18°C.
Cetris exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including fusarium wilt, ensuring stable and very high yields. The plant requires careful care, particularly regarding moisture during seed germination, and adequate light. For successful cultivation, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are recommended, while nitrogen fertilizers should be used only on soils with low nitrogen content. Special attention should be paid to supplying magnesium, and the soil should have neutral or slightly alkaline reaction.
The Cetris variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Due to its excellent taste and disease resistance, it is an excellent choice for vegetable growers aiming to obtain high-quality yields. It is recommended to sow peas in the second year after manure application, although organic fertilizers are not mandatory.
