Description
The early vegetable pea variety Norvert from Syngenta Seeds has a maturity period of 45-50 days. The plant reaches a height of up to 65 cm, is characterized by abundant foliage, strong stems, and a well-developed root system. This variety easily adapts to different soil types and can be grown both in the first and second crop rotations, making it versatile for open-field cultivation. Norvert is resistant to fusarium wilt and capable of successfully overcoming stressful growing conditions, ensuring a stable and high yield.
Norvert pea features a rich green color and a very sweet taste with a tender texture. Each pod contains 7 to 11 medium-sized seeds, and the sugar content in the pods reaches 6%, highlighting its excellent taste qualities. The pods have a dense and uniform structure, reliably protecting the internal beans. The harvest ripens concentratedly, allowing efficient mechanized harvesting and sorting of seeds.
To enhance productivity, regular watering and fertilization of the plants are recommended. The seed material is suitable for direct sowing into unprotected soil with furrow depth not exceeding 1.5 cm and spacing of 25-30 cm between rows. The ready product can be consumed raw or used for canning, freezing, and thermal processing, while maintaining high consumer qualities under proper storage and transportation conditions. Norvert pea is widely used in culinary practices for preparing various dishes.
