Description
The vegetable pea variety VIVADO is a medium-late maturing type with dark green peas, characterized by large and medium-sized kernels. Plants reach a height of about 75 cm and form 2 to 3 pods per node, each approximately 11 cm long, containing around 10 seeds. The 1000-seed weight is about 200 grams. This variety is especially valued for its good resistance to pod splitting, making it attractive to processors and manufacturers of frozen and canned products.
VIVADO is distinguished by high resistance to several diseases, including Fusarium wilt race 1 and false powdery mildew, as well as moderate resistance to true powdery mildew and virus mosaic. Thanks to these traits, along with good seedling emergence, it ensures a stable and high yield of green peas, ranging from 40 to 73 centners per hectare, which exceeds standard yields by approximately 6 centners. The green pea yield from pods is maintained at 44–45%, indicating high efficiency of the variety.
The VIVADO variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and is intended for freezing and canning. Its excellent external qualities and outstanding taste characteristics make it popular among vegetable product manufacturers. The variety’s registration code in the State Register is 8557448, confirming its official recognition and adaptation to growing conditions in the specified regions.
