Description
Spirea beans are a high-yielding culture with asparagus beans, rich in beneficial substances. The variety is mid-maturing, with technical maturity reached 55-60 days after full germination. The plants are climbing and branching, 2 to 3.5 m high, with light green foliage and cream-colored flowers.
The pods are characterized by a twisted shape, red color with bright anthocyanin coloring, absence of parchment layer and fibers. They are smooth, juicy, about 45 cm long and 1 cm wide. Lower pods attach to the plant at a height of about 45 cm, and the total yield mass is from 4.2 to 5.4 kg. When grown under film coverings, marketable yield reaches 1.8 kg/m².
Seeds are kidney-shaped of medium size, two-colored (light-yellow with dark spots). Spirea beans are easy to cultivate: they are heat-loving, do not require complex care and respond well to the addition of organic and mineral fertilizers. Thanks to their climbing structure, the plant is perfect for vertical greening, and the fruits can be used both in home cooking and for freezing or canning.
