In the field and on the farm: operating the VTZ T-

When you start the engine of a VTZ T-, you immediately realize this machine is built for labor, not for showrooms. In daily operation, the tractor wins you over with its raw simplicity. There is a minimum of electronics, and everything is accessible with a standard set of wrenches. If something starts knocking or leaking, you can reach the component without dismantling half the chassis. This is a machine you service yourself in your own garage, without waiting a week for a service technician with a laptop.

Fuel consumption and performance

In terms of fuel, the model performs quite efficiently. Of course, if you attach heavy implements and plow virgin soil, fuel appetite increases, but for transport tasks, inter-row cultivation, or mowing, it is quite economical. The main thing is to keep an eye on the injectors and the air filter. The VTZ is sensitive to air cleanliness: once the filter is clogged, you immediately feel a drop in torque and an increase in exhaust smoke.

Operator's station

Comfort here is purely functional. You shouldn't expect the quiet of a modern import cab — engine vibration and noise are constant companions. However, the controls are intuitively placed, and you get used to the gear shifting in just a couple of days. The view from the seat is decent: you have a clear sight of both the front attachment and what’s happening behind, which is critical when working in narrow rows or confined spaces.

Maintenance insights

Parts availability is the main advantage of owning a VTZ. At almost any agricultural supply store, you can find the necessary gasket, clutch plate, or hydraulic seal kit. Repairability is its trump card: even if the tractor breaks down in the middle of a field, it is genuinely possible to revive it with basic tools. However, do not skip routine maintenance: changing the oil on schedule and timely lubrication of the steering knuckles extends engine life by a significant margin.
