Amblyteles is a genus of ichneumonid wasps within the order Hymenoptera. Unlike direct plant pests, these insects are primarily classified as parasitoids. The biology of Amblyteles is centered on its parasitic larval stage. The adult female wasp searches for specific caterpillar hosts, such as cutworms and armyworms, to lay her eggs.
