The primary hosts for Amphisbatis species include diverse shrubs and deciduous trees. The larvae are typically found in concealed environments, often rolling leaves or tying them together with silk to create protective shelters where they feed safely throughout their development stages.

The biology of this moth species is synchronized with the vegetative season. After overwintering in protected sites, such as bark crevices or leaf litter, the adults emerge to mate and lay eggs.
