Anatis

Anatis is a genus of beetles belonging to the Coccinellidae family. While the majority of this family is recognized for beneficial insect predation, certain species within the Anatis genus can exhibit phytophagous behavior, occasionally causing damage to ornamental and forest plants, which necessitates precise identification and management in agricultural landscapes.

Systematically, this genus is classified under the order Coleoptera and the family Coccinellidae. They are distinguished by their relatively large body size compared to other common ladybird species, a trait that serves as a primary marker for field entomologists and agronomists conducting routine health inspections of plant nurseries and plantations.
