Angitia plutellae (often classified under the genus Diadegma) is a beneficial hymenopteran parasitoid of the Ichneumonidae family. While sometimes cataloged alongside agricultural pests due to its association with host insects, it is actually a vital natural enemy that regulates populations of the diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella).

The biological nature of this wasp is strictly endoparasitic. The female wasp detects the presence of host larvae through chemical cues released by plants that have been damaged by the moth. By injecting an egg into the host, the wasp ensures its offspring has a nutrient-rich environment for development. The larval stage of the parasitoid consumes the internal tissues of the moth larva, eventually killing it.
