Anisembia is a genus of insects belonging to the order Embioptera, known as webspinners, and the family Anisembiidae. These insects are unique due to their ability to produce silk from glands located on their front legs, which they use to construct elaborate tunnel systems on plant surfaces.

The pest primarily affects ornamental plants, certain shrub species, and agricultural crops in warmer climates. They are particularly problematic in nursery environments and greenhouses where high humidity and stable temperatures facilitate the formation of dense, protective silk galleries across host plants.
