Anisembia sini is a distinct species of insect belonging to the order Embioptera (webspinners), family Anisembiidae. While many webspinners are considered beneficial or neutral, Anisembia sini can occasionally become a pest when it inhabits and feeds upon ornamental or agricultural plant tissues, causing secondary damage to the host.

The primary biological characteristic of this species is its ability to produce silk from glands located on the fore tarsi. These insects use the silk to construct protective galleries or tunnels, usually hidden under tree bark, in leaf litter, or in soil crevices. These structures provide an ideal microclimate and protection against environmental stress and natural predators.

The damage caused by Anisembia sini involves feeding on the epidermis of young stems, tender shoots, and leaves.
