Anotylus rugosus is a beetle belonging to the Staphylinidae family within the order Coleoptera. These insects are commonly known as rove beetles, typically characterized by their elongated bodies and shortened elytra. While many species in this family are beneficial predators, certain species can become pests in specific agricultural settings where their feeding habits overlap with crop development.
