The Currant mining moth (Latin: Argolamprotes micella) is a species of moth belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It is recognized as a specific agricultural pest that primarily targets berry-producing shrubs within the temperate climate zones.
This pest is primarily associated with plants of the genus Ribes, including blackcurrant, redcurrant, and gooseberry. The larvae are the main destructive stage, causing significant harm to the buds and leaves of these economically important crops.
