Chilecomadia is a genus of moths belonging to the family Cossidae, commonly known as goat moths or carpenter moths. As wood-boring insects, they represent a significant threat to arboriculture and commercial orchards, particularly in South American regions where their biological activity is most pronounced.

These pests primarily target various tree species, including fruit trees such as apples and pears. The larvae are internal feeders, which means they spend the majority of their lifecycle deep within the tree trunk or thick branches, feeding on the cambium layer and the structural wood, effectively creating a network of galleries.
