Dendrolaelaps is a genus of mites belonging to the family Digamasellidae within the order Mesostigmata. While many species are known as predators, some representatives are recognized as pests in agricultural settings, particularly within controlled environment agriculture and mushroom production facilities.

The primary hosts for these pests are cultivated fungi such as mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) and oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). They can also occur in the root zones of various greenhouse crops where decomposing organic matter provides an ideal breeding ground for their populations.

The life cycle of Dendrolaelaps involves several stages: egg, larva, protonymph, deutonymph, and adult.
