Description

Systematic position. The long-horned anobiid beetle (Ernobius longicornis) belongs to the order Coleoptera and the family Anobiidae. This species is highly specialized, primarily associated with coniferous trees, where it plays the role of a xylophagous pest affecting the health and structural integrity of its host plants.

Host plants and distribution. The pest is predominantly found in forested areas, targeting coniferous species such as spruce and fir.
