Wavy Gold-tail Moth

Euproctis flexuosa, commonly referred to as the Wavy Gold-tail Moth, is a lepidopteran insect belonging to the family Erebidae. This species is recognized as a significant pest in both forestry and horticulture, capable of causing defoliation that impacts the overall vigor and physiological development of host trees.

The host range of this pest primarily includes various species of Rosaceae. Fruit-bearing trees such as apples, pears, and stone fruits are frequently targeted.
