Description

The genus Exoteleia belongs to the family Gelechiidae, within the order Lepidoptera. These insects pose a significant threat to various conifer species, primarily pine trees, and act as specialized pests capable of severely reducing the aesthetic value and biological health of the trees they infest.

The primary hosts for these pests include Scots pine, mountain pine, and several other coniferous species.
